Living the Urban Dream

Have you ever wondered where mallards nest in Toronto, the Great Urban Metropolis? One was seen just the other week, along with her 14 ducklings, on the 9th floor balcony of my husband’s office building in the downtown core, overlooking Lake Ontario.
There she is, Mama Mallard, walking proudly with her progeny (all born on the 9th floor)!
Wildlife officials were called to the rescue and the ducklings are now in a safe place, have no fear.
